The new iPad mini will launch in the second half of the year and a third generation iPad mini with an improved processor will come in 2014.
Cnet has reported that the new iPad Mini with Retina display will have a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536, which is the same as the Retina screen on the iPhone 5, and "one of the highest densities for a tablet to date". According to Shim from Business Insider, the pixel density surpasses 300 ppi it will be tricky to "discern that improved image quality.
